FAQ
Do I need a reservation?
No, you don't! All of our studios are open for walk-in guests during our normal business hours. We do however recommend scheduling a reservation should you be celebrating a birthday party with us, or if you are coming in with a group larger than 6 people and want seats guaranteed upon arrival.
How much does it cost to paint here?
All of our pottery pieces are individually priced on the bottom of each piece. The price listed is all inclusive - including studio time, paint use, and kiln firing your piece. We have a wide variety of priced items - beginning at $5 up to $105 with a large majority of items falling between $20 and $50.
What if I'm not an artist?
Well here at Polka Dot Pottery, we think that everyone who can hold a paintbrush is an artist! But our talented staff are always happy to help provide guidance, inspiration or instruction.
Is my fired piece safe to eat off of?
Yes! Each pottery piece is clear glazed in a non toxic glaze and kiln fired. So every fired piece is food safe, dishwasher safe, microwave safe and oven safe.
How long before I can pick up my finished pottery?
One week from the day you painted and turned it in to us! We do not make phone calls when your pottery is ready for pick up. You can just plan to return seven days later to pick up your masterpiece! Note: As a courtesy, we can only hold your order for 30 days.
What if I don't finish my project?
That's not a problem! You'll simply pay for your piece, take it home, and bring it back to our studio anytime you'd like to continue painting!
Can you ship my finished pottery?
You bet! And we do it all the time! We'll charge you a shipping fee at checkout - simply based on quantity of pieces and distance - and we'll ship it your way as soon as it's fired!
How long does it take?
That simply depends on the size of piece you select and the level of detail you exhibit. However, many of our guest spend between an hour and two hours painting their project.
